About Dance Physique

As a former NBA dancer, I learned the importance of being a hype girl for my team. No matter if we were winning or losing – I was all about pumping up the crowd and keeping the energy high. This mindset has carried over into my role as a dance fitness instructor. Our community aims to create an atmosphere of positivity and encouragement, I want to hype you up in my classes, so you leave feeling accomplished and empowered.

I've been in that funk.

After giving birth to my daughter, I had a hard time getting back into the swing of things.

Post-partum, I felt a little lost afterwards – I wasn’t getting sleep (breastfeeding around the clock) and struggling with postpartum depression – all while trying to maintain my sanity and “look” as if I had it all together.

I felt like I was never going to have my “old life” back. But once I got back into teaching – I soon remembered why I loved dancing so much.  It gave me an outlet! I felt feminine and sexy again. I was working out again! It lit me up and gave me that push I needed to be myself. Not only did it give me my energy back, but it made me a better Mom, Partner, and Person!

How I help people

I’ve created this program to make fitness fun, as well as create a path to better physical health, mental well-being, and an insane boost in self-confidence.

1) Improved physical health

 A fun new way to get in shape and improve cardiovascular health, muscular strength, and flexibility. My program can also help with weight loss and overall body toning.

2) Boosted mental health

Reduce stress and improve mood. Studies have shown that dance fitness can help with anxiety, depression, and overall mental well-being.

3) Increased confidence and self-esteem

Be empowered as you learn to move your body in new ways and gain a sense of mastery over the dance routines. Gain increased self-confidence and self-esteem both on and off the dance floor.
